It's beem a ling time since I've been here ans it never disappoints. True HK style dinner food. The milk tea is great and you only add $1 for any drink with any entree. The prices are pretty reasonable. Iove being in a place where I get to see people of all ages fro. The elderly just wanting to a day out to family and friends getting together.
The love eating their bake rice dishes, but will have to try other items next time I go. I think my next order will be something with instant noodles. It might seem weird to order something thats has instant noodles, but lots of HK dinner shop have it on their menu for the quick and easy and this place has got it. Or maybe a macaroni dish.
Yumm.. I can't wait to see what my next adventure brings. -

Simply delicious Hong Kong style food. I got a hot plate of black pepper spam and instant noodle. It was still sizzling when it came to my table. I couldn't even finish the whole plate, because of how much they gave me. And for a reasonable price, too -- less than $10.
There was a lot to choose from, so it was hard to decide what I wanted to get. But I am glad with the decision I made.
It was my first time visiting this place, but it won't be my last. -

Every time I come in, I feel like it's always busy, but you never have to wait long. There is always a nice aroma of tea and food which is always appetizing to smell.
The Service is decent, most of the workers speak either canto and mandarin, but their English is not as well spoken. If you are coming here for the service, don't expect to be blown away.
What always kept me coming back is either their lunch specials. It usually comes with a complementary drink and the soup of the day. If you order from the specials, you definitely get great value for your money. When I eat here I usually get my salmon with white sauce and rice. The bacon bits on top are super tasty, and they give an option to switch to spaghetti noodles. Another great option was the chow fun lunch special. It is absolutely a huge portion and the absolute best value. Cheap, tasty, and authentic HK cuisine. -

This place is CASH ONLY! Prepare for that! I came in with my family for a late dinner since this place closes at midnight! To be honest, we stopped coming here for some unknown reason but coming back felt nostalgic and it was nice. It was around 10:30pm and all the booths were pretty much filled and a few center tables. We ordered our food off the Happy Hour menu. Majority of the items off the Happy Hour menu are $6.95 per item.
I ordered the Pork Cutlet sandwich and a HK Iced Tea with less sugar. The wait wasn't that long for food. Even though I asked for less sugar, the iced tea was still at a good level of sweetness. The food came out shortly and the pork cutlet sandwich looked divine. There was a crispy fried pork cutlet in between a sesame hamburger bun along with lettuce, tomatoes, and I believe tartar sauce or mayo. It was DELICIOUS! It was fried perfectly and everything balanced out. I would definitely order this again. It was so good!
We also ordered the Salt and Pepper wings to share and it was pretty good as well. Pretty generic and can get in any HK styled cafe. Service was pretty decent but I noticed how one of the workers relied on the other to take orders and deliver checks. Overall, I had a pretty good experience and can't speak for the other dishes but I definitely enjoyed what I ordered and would come again! -

Western style comfort food is a staple in Hong Kong and the cafe style food they specialize in including quick and cheap rice dishes, noodle soups, and snacks is the most complex but seems hard to do well.
I've been mostly disappointed by Bay Area Western style cafes but I'm always eager to try new locations. A Plus HK Style Cafe shares names with an excellent place I tried in Hong Kong and while its clear there's likely no relation, its hard not to hope.
The menu is straightforward with lots of baked rice dishes, very simple macaroni and ramen noodle soups with Spam, and simple sandwiches. Drinks are all here as well including milk tea, lemon tea, and red bean drinks. Our order:
Milk Tea - decent rendition served in the classic steel cup as in Hong Kong. Probably the best thing we had.
Russian Borscht Soup - $5.99. A decent size bowl comes out warm and filled mainly with cabbage and a few pieces of celery. Oxtail is the supposed ingredient for great renditions but here just a slim piece or two of tiny beef stew bits. The main problem is that the soup is too sweet and too similar to canned tomato soups.
Baked Ox Tongue over Fried Rice - $12.99. A nice layer of cheese is placed on top of large pieces of uncut Ox Tongue and plain yellow egg fried rice. Like the soup, the tomatoes based sauce is way too sweet either indicating a predominant amount of sugar or canned origins.
Salted Yellow Chicken over Rice - $9.75. This was a table special and the dish includes a scoop of white rice and several pieces of white meat Chicken. The chicken was ok but lacked much saltiness or flavor and the smooth texture of free range chicken.
Overall, A+ didn't score that highly for me. It's actually quite busy so perhaps we owe it one more try for their noodles or non tomato sauce (ie: ketchup) based dishes. Or perhaps my taste buds are more sophisticated now but I think places in Fremont such as Yum's Bistro are vastly better though cuisine type and speed is slower.
A+ accepts cash only.
